Itinerary

Arrival in Colombo

The tour begins immediately you land at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo where our representative will warmly welcome you and help your transfer from the Airport to the hotel. Once you have checked in and relaxed you can embark on a brief city tour. Start your exploration journey by visiting the Gangaramaya Temple a hub for the Buddhist learning and an architectural marvel in Colombo. Once you have fully explored the temple you can proceed to the freedom square, a monument that celebrated and commemorates the end of British rule in Sri Lanka after attaining Independence.

You can enjoy a peaceful walk around the square as you take pictures for the memories. The square is beautiful with well-manicured lawns that are properly maintained. Later in the evening you can explore the famous Pettar market which is a busy and full of sight sounds and scents. You can end the day by visiting a local restaurant and enjoy a Sri Lankan dish for dinner before retiring to your room in the hotel.

Colombo to Kandy

The second day begins with a delicious breakfast served at the hotel before embarking on the exciting journey to Cultural city of Kandy. Midway you will stop at the Pinnawala Elephant orphanage to enjoy some quality time with the rescued elephants and watch them take a bath in the river. You will then proceed to Kandy and once you get there you will check in the hotel and then proceed to a city tour. One of the most famous historical sites in Kandy is the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site that is home to the relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth and this is where you will first explore. Later in the evening you can experience the Kandyan cultural show where the dancers artistically showcase the traditions of Sri Lanka.

Kandy to Yala via Nuwara Eliya

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel before proceeding to the Yala for the wildlife experience. You will take a brief a stop at the Nuwala Eliya highlands famously known as the little England fort its breathtaking lush green landscapes. Nuwala Eliya is filled with the colonial era bungalows with the British architecture, cool climate and expansive tea plantations. You can enjoy the tea trails at the plantations, visit the tea factory in Nuwara Eliy to learn about the tea processing. During the tour at the factory, you will enjoy a cup of freshly brewed tea and later enjoy a cool visit at the Gregory lake. At the lake you will get a chance to take some cool pictures with a breathtaking background of the lake. Once you are done, you will proceed with the journey to Yala.

Yala Safari and Transfer to Bentota

The day begins with an early morning safari adventure at the Yala National park. The safaris are ideal during the early morning before it gets hot and animals begin hiding. Therefore, an early morning safari drive gives you a perfect chance to see a leopard in action among other animals like elephants, deer and crocodiles. The safari will also give you a chance to spot different bird species in the jungle. Later in the afternoon you will travel to the coastal city of Bentota and check-in a beach front hotel with stunning views of the ocean. You can relax in the hotel in preparation for the final day adventures.

Bentota to Colombo and Departure

The day begins with breakfast at the hotel. You can then proceed to enjoy some quality time at the Bentota beaches and enjoy some water activities like swimming, jet skiing among others. If you are conservation enthusiast you can pay a visit to the Turtle hatchery to see the newborn turtles and learn about the conservation efforts by in Sri Lanka. Later in the afternoon you will embark on the journey back to Colombo ready for the flight back home after a 4 days tour. As you wait for the flight you can enjoy some shopping in Colombo and our representative will ensure you get to the airport in time to avoid the last-minute rush after an adventurous tour.

Indian nationals planning visit to Sri Lanka must first verify visa requirements. You qualify to apply for Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) online for visiting Sri Lanka for tourism.
