Itinerary

Arrival in Colombo

When you arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to a hotel in Colombo. After you check in you can leave your luggage and head out for a city tour. Visit the Gangaramaya Temple which is an architectural marvel and a hub for Buddhist learning. After wards head to the Independence Square, a monument that commemorates Sri Lanka’s independence from the British rule. Stroll around the square and take pictures with the background of the well-manicured lawns. Lastly visit the Pettah Market, which is a bustling bazaar with a sensory overload of sights, sounds and scents. In the evening go to a local restaurant and enjoy a traditional Sri Lankan dinner.

Colombo to Kandy

After breakfast embark on your journey to Kandy and on your stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Observe and interact with rescued elephants and watch as they bath in the river. When you arrive in Kandy check in to your hotel and then head out for a Kandy city excursion. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a UNESCO World Heritage site that houses a relic of Lord Buddha’s tooth. In the evening attend a Kandyan cultural show where dance performers artistically showcase the traditions of Sri Lankan art.

Kandy to Yala via Nuwara Eliya

Enjoy your breakfast and then head to Yala with a stopover in Nuwara Eliya. Often called the “Little England”, Nuwara Eliya is marked with colonial era bungalows are cool climate with many tea plantations. Tour a tea factory in Nuwara Eliya and learn the process of tea production and even enjoy a cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea. Visit Gregory Lake and take a leisure stroll and capture pictures with the lake as the background. Proceed to Yala and check into your accommodation near the national park.

Yala Safari and Transfer to Bentota

Wake up early and embark on a safari adventure in Yala National Park. A morning safari gives you better chance to spot predators inaction. Bentota to Colombo and Departure

After breakfast enjoy some leisure time in Bentota beaches. You can try water sports such as jet skiing, windsurfing or banana boat rides. Visit the Turtle Hatchery to see newborn turtles and learn about conservation efforts in place. In the afternoon head back to Colombo and if your flight schedule is for later in the day, you may do last minute shopping or sightseeing in Colombo. Our representative will then transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.

Kandy – We ensure that our guests are hosted in Earl’s Regency hotel or a hotel of similar rating. It is a luxurious hotel that is nested in the midst of the lush greenery with breathtaking views and relaxing atmosphere.

Yala - During their stay in Yala our guests stay In Jetwing Yala or a hotel of similar rating. It is a safari lodge type of accommodation that provides an easy access to the national park while providing an authentic wilderness experience.

Bentota – In Bentota our guests stay in Avani Bentota Resort which is a luxurious beachfront resort that offers spacious rooms, an infinity pool and direct access to the beach.
