Sri Lanka 5 Days Itinerary

Upon arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport (Katunayake) you will meet friendly local representative and will drive you directly to your city hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle.

Your first stop of the day will be at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can get up close to and even interact with baby elephants before continuing to Sigirya. Afterwards, proceed to Sigiriya and visit the world famous rock fortress on top.

Climb up this rock and you will be treated to a lake view hot water bath where you can take a warm bath as well before returning back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

You will have breakfast at your hotel in Sigiriya, check out and proceed to Kandy. On the way, make a stop at a Spice Garden to hear about Sri Lankan spices and how they are used, followed by your visit to Peradeniya Botanical Garden where you can explore the beauty of nature as well as clicking for photo shots in scenic locations.

Whilst in Kandy you will also visit a Gem Museum to see the rare collection of gem stones found in Sri Lanka and thereafter view a Kandyan Cultural Dance Show.

Afterward, you will also pay a visit to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and if you wish take a leisurely walk in the evening by Kandy Lake before retiring for your overnight stay in Kandy.

After breakfast you will travel to Nuwara Eliya, first stopping at Ambuluwawa Tower to get a breath-taking 360-degree view. Embark on the road up towards the hilly/ mountainous regions and to beautiful tea plantations followed by a photo stop at a Tea Factory estate before visiting a Tea Factory where you will witness, Tea processing and enjoy a cup of pure Ceylon tea.

Upon reaching Nuwara Eliya, you will be taken to the Seetha Amman Temple and later go on an excursion to Hakgala Botanical Garden. In the evening you will have some time to relax at Gregory Park -You also have an option of going for boat ride or jet skiing or just chose to enjoy local snacks by the side of lake before proceeding to nighttar stay.

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Bentota. En route you will visit the Madhu River and enjoy a wonderful boat ride along the river, passing through lush mangroves and interesting glimpses of the riverside.

Following that, you will have some time at the Bentota River for optional water sports including jet skiing, banana boat riding as well as windsurfing. You will proceed to the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery to gain an understanding of turtle conservation and have hands-on time with baby turtles.

Later head down to the beaches of Bentota for a relaxing evening, watching the night sky set in as you sit in the sand next to the glistening water.

You will check out after breakfast and drive to Colombo today in your own relaxed pace without any particular stops. Your tour will commence from Gangaramaya Temple, later taking you to Independence Square for photo opportunities and a stroll in the park surrounding it.

Then you will have free time for shopping in a well-known mall or, if you want, local markets (for souvenirs). Next you’ll visit Galle Face Green to feel the sea breeze and street food atmosphere and finally wrap up your tour at the ornate Lotus Tower for city vistas (optional attractions available.)

At the end of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel or taken to the airport as per option selected.
